Live concert to mark the start of the election to the 2nd Serbski Sejm on 11 May in the Hafenstube Telux

On Saturday evening, 11 May, a special charity concert will take place in the Hafenstube in the Telux socio-cultural centre in Weißwasser: On the occasion of the election kick-off for the 2nd Serbski Sejm - the Sorbian/Wendish parliament - on 12 May, three live acts will perform on the stage of the Hafenstube the evening before. Under the motto ‘Lausitz rockt’ (Sorbian: Łužica rokuje), Paul Geigerzähler (violin punk from Berlin), Highway Patrol (mixture of voodoo blues, wild rhythm & western soul from Halle) and Jacke Schwarz Bande (mixture of blues, rock and folk from Berlin) will be guests. Admission starts at 8 p.m., costs €10 (an additional donation to finance elections for the Serbski Sejm is also possible) and is free of charge for children and young people under the age of 20. The first guests will also receive a free keg of beer. The evening will focus on contemporary Sorbian cultural creators and the concerns of the Sorbian/Wendish people, which are thematised in the work of its democratically legitimised representation - the Serbski Sejm. The election to the 2nd Serbski Sejm will take place in 2024 and will begin on 12 May with the election call in Weißwasser at Schweigstraße 28 by the water tower, accompanied by a colourful supporting programme. From 2 p.m., guests can expect many attractions such as a visit from the magician Krabat, live music, a colouring street, bouncy castle, the energy mobile, coffee, cake and much more with free admission.
