Smy e.V. General Assembly nominates candidates for the Serbski Sejm

The general meeting of Smy e.V. took place on 11 September in Njebjelčicy/Nebelschütz. The meeting focussed on the important election for the nomination of candidates for the upcoming election of the 2nd Serbski Sejm, the Sorbian/Wendish parliament.

The General Assembly unanimously nominated and elected the following persons, who accepted their candidature: Dr Stanisław Nawka, Carola Geppertowa, Dr Tomaš Wornar and Hajko Kozel.

These four individuals will represent Smy e.V. in the elections to the Serbski Sejm and champion the interests of the Sorbian/Wendish community. Smy e.V. is proud to be able to nominate such committed and competent representatives and wishes the candidates every success in the upcoming election.

Smy e.V. is a Sorbian/Wendish association that is committed to preserving and promoting the Sorbian language, culture and identity. The association plays an active role in the Sorbian community and contributes to strengthening the political co-determination of the Sorbs.

Sorbian/Wendish associations and initiatives can nominate and submit candidates for the 2nd Serbski Sejm until 11 October 2024. Further information at www.serbski-sejm-2024.de
